federal budget rebuttal

Christia Freeland's recent budget has proposed $2,400 over 12 months or $200/month for the disability community Canada-wide.  The proposed cash will be dispensed beginning in July 2025.  It appears the government is a bit hap-hazard in its response to former minister Qualtrough's Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) legislation.  The government has delayed the initial legislation.   The government has delayed the implementation of the benefit.

Is the liberal federal government really intent on helping the disabled community improve their lives?  Let's all hope that a change in government (i.e. election) does not delay this meagre benefit further.

The question, then, from the government's point-of-view is should disabled Canadians support themselves in some way?  Mental and physical impairments prevent full participation in Canadian society.  Discrimination abounds.  A fully funded support system for those so afflicted must be implemented.

Many thanks Qualtrough for getting this legislation passed.  Semi-thanks to Freeland for putting it in the budget.
